Cricket betting at wine bd — bet on T20, ODI and Test with ease
From BPL and IPL to international cricket — bet on match winner, toss, top batsman and more markets in the wine bd sports section. Live in-play odds update continuously.
Cricket's three formats and favourite tournaments
Cricket is Bangladesh's most popular sport — and it holds a special place in betting too. The wine bd sports section lets you bet across all three formats.
T20 is the fastest format — each team plays just 20 overs. BPL and IPL are both played in this format. Matches finish in a short time, so bet results come quickly too. Interest naturally rises when the Bangladesh Tigers play in the T20 World Cup.
ODI, or one-day matches, are played over 50 overs each side. Scores are relatively higher, which means there are more chances to bet on the total runs or over/under markets.
Test matches are a long five-day contest. A draw is a possible result — so the markets are a little different. ICC rankings, pitch type and weather all come into play.
The local excitement of BPL, the star-studded matches of IPL, and the international T20 World Cup — you can bet on all of these at wine bd.
Football and other sports sections
Alongside cricket, wine bd also offers betting on football and a few other sports. Football has three possible outcomes — team A wins, team B wins, or the match draws. In limited-overs cricket there is no draw, so odds work differently.
Football has markets for extra time, penalties and number of goals that do not exist in cricket. In contrast, cricket's over-by-over live markets are far more detailed than those in football.
For those new to sports betting, starting with cricket is straightforward — because the pace and nature of the game is familiar to Bangladeshi fans. Those who want more variety can also explore football and other markets in the wine bd Bet sports section.
Popular betting markets and examples
Many types of bets can be placed on a cricket match. Below are seven popular markets with a brief explanation of each — all examples are for illustration only, not actual odds or guarantees.
Match Winner
Which of the two teams will win — this is the simplest market. If it is team A vs team B, you just pick one. There is no draw in ODI and T20, so the choice is clear.
Toss Winner
Which team will win the toss — this bet can be settled before the match even begins. The result does not depend directly on the play on the field, so odds are usually close for both teams.
Top Batsman
Who will score the most runs for a given team — you can pick any batsman in this market. If the player you chose ends up as the highest scorer after the match, the bet wins.
Total Runs Over/Under
Will the total runs in the full match or a single innings be more than a set number (over) or less (under) — in this market you pick one of the two.
Top Wicket Taker
Which bowler will take the most wickets — a bowler's form and pitch conditions matter here. On a pitch favouring pace or spin, this market becomes more interesting.
Multi Bet (multiple selections)
Combining multiple matches or markets into one bet — all selections must be correct to win. Example: betting on three matches at odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.80 gives combined odds of 3.78; a ৳100 bet returns ৳378 if all win — but if any one loses the entire bet is gone.
First Wicket Partnership Runs
How many runs will the two openers add together at the start of the match — this market is usually in over/under format. Many bettors look at the opening batting order and the opposition's pace attack before taking an interest in this bet.
Man of the Match
Who will be the best performer across the entire match — this is determined by combining batting and bowling performance. Players who consistently put in all-round performances tend to win this award more often.
How to read and understand odds
Odds appear in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. The wine bd sports section generally uses decimal format, but it helps to understand all three.
If the bet loses, the full ৳1,000 is gone. If it wins, ৳3,000 total is returned.
The higher the decimal odds, the less likely the win — but the profit is higher if it does win. American minus odds (-400) mean that team is the favourite.
An easy way to remember
Decimal odds × stake = total return. The three formats are just three different ways of writing the same thing — the value is always equal.
- Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200
- Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American -400
- Odds only indicate possible returns — they are not a guarantee of winning.
Betting is entertainment, not investment
Always treat betting as a form of entertainment. Reading the responsible gaming policy makes it easier to keep your budget in check.
Live in-play betting — odds change every over
In-play or live betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. In cricket, every over and every wicket shifts the odds — this constant movement is what sets live betting apart.
For example: if three wickets fall in the powerplay, the odds for the batting team to win go up — meaning a bet on that team now offers a higher potential return than before. On the other hand, if only a small number of runs are needed to win in the final over, the favourite's odds shorten.
In-play markets include not just match winner but also runs in the next over, when the next wicket will fall, and projected score at the end of a specific over.
